Abstract

A new report from SSSCIP of Ukraine: Russia cyber tactics #2: Lessons Learned will be presented. This report analyzes the context (timing, objectives, impact), victimology (targeted sectors, countries), main tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and, when applicable, attribution based on our internal experience, markers, and observations during the first cyberwar in the world.

About the Speaker

Deputy Chairman of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine on Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization (CDTO) since January 2021. At the SSSCIP Mr. Zhora is responsible for cybersecurity in the Ukrainian digital infrastructure, supervises digital transformation and cybersecurity projects, CERT-UA and the State Cyberprotection Center. Victor holds a master's degree in Applied Math from the Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Technical University of Ukraine and completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. He is the author of numerous scientific publications on information security and actively supports cybersecurity education programs. Before serving in his current role, Victor was a CEO and Co-Founder of one of the leading cybersecurity companies in Ukraine, Head of Council of Ukrainian Information Security Group, the non-government organization for local cybersec community, and a member of organizing committees of annual cybersecurity conferences UISGCON and BSides Kyiv. During his 20+ year career as an architect and project lead he was involved in numerous projects of national importance including protection of electoral systems in Ukraine. Victor Zhora is the past recipient of the IVLP Cybersecurity Policy and Practices, UN-Singapore Cyber Fellowship and Aspen Institute Kyiv Responsible Leadership.
